The company released updated community guidelines for its employees this week, informing employees that "disrupting the day with a heated debate about politics or the latest news" does not help build a community.
Google has always prided itself on adopting freedom of speech and engaging in discussions between employees. But this culture has proven increasingly difficult for Google, which has found itself under fire from critics who have accused it of anti-conservative bias and some of its workers who are are avenged retaliation for denouncing the company.
"Community guidelines exist to support the healthy, open discussion that has always been part of our culture, and help create an environment in which we can come together as a community to pursue our common mission and serve our users," said a spokesman for Google. in a statement to CNN Business. "It is essential that we respect this trust and uphold the integrity of our products and services.The guidelines are an official policy and apply when employees communicate at their workplace."
About a year ago, Google released for the first time guidelines for communities on how employees are involved with each other trolling online and call name are not acceptable at the workplace.

In addition to the new instructions, which were first e-mailed to employees prior to their online publication by CEO, Sundar Pichai, the company announced the existence of a new "tracking tool" centralized "allowing employees to report content that may not be consistent with its guidelines. . The updated guidelines follow a few tumultuous years within the company regarding employee uprisings.
