The acquisition of Eero by Amazon in February was another significant step forward for the online retailer who uses voice assistants and other connected devices. However, consumers have decried the loss of another brand of independent hardware. A new report reveals today that Amazon has bought Eero during an incendiary sale and that Google and Nest have been seriously competing with each other.
The price of acquisition has never been publicly revealed by Amazon or Eero, but Mashable this afternoon, he reported that it was up to $ 97 million. The edge has since confirmed this figure, which is lower than the $ 148 million that Eero raised through investor financing.
