Google plans to rename its Home Hub smart screen to "Nest Hub," according to a report by 9to5Google.
Citing a "reliable and anonymous source, knowing the subject well," the POS indicates that Google intends to bring the domestic hub into compliance with the 10-inch version of the device, called Google Nest Hub Max.
This seems to be an attempt by Google to better differentiate its smart screens from its smart speakers. Otherwise, nothing indicates that Google is trying to change the main hub.
As noted by 9to5GoogleGoogle would launch its Pixel 3a May 7, which would also be a good time for the company to relaunch the Home Hub under a new name.
