When Google released the new mode of "gesture-free navigation" of Android Q Beta 3, regardless of your general opinion about the new navigation system, there was an objective disadvantage: it broke the lock of the # 39; screen. Well, Google has solved this particular problem from version 4 of version 4 of Google, thus disabling the screen location if you activate the new gesture navigation system.

Screen tracking, for those who do not know, allows you to lock your phone to a specific application, keep it open to prevent children from accidentally leaving, or spying on your friends to search nearby.

The previous problem was that you could not use the required navigation key combination to exit pinned mode in full gesture navigation. (As a general rule, you have to hold back and start buttons at the same time to unlink an application, but completely gestural means no navigation buttons.) When you enabled the pinned mode on Android Q Beta 3, you could access the home screen in a pinned application (a problem in itself), but you could not launch any Applications, open the status bar, open the multitasking menu, or do anything, really.

You could easily be stuck in a secure mode, requiring a reboot.

From Android Q Beta 4, application pinning appears to be fully disabled via the multitasking menu if you enable the new gesture navigation mode. This option is removed until you switch to two- or three-button navigation modes.

Hopefully Google can offer another system or another gesture to leave the blocked mode in the new fully-gesting navigation system. If we want this type of navigation to spread in the future, it will be necessary to maintain the parity of the features, and many people will miss the pin of screen.
