Google's WiFi router is one of Google's lesser-known products. It's been a long time since Google launched the first version of its WiFi router. We are therefore preparing to launch the next generation of Google Wi-Fi connections with major changes, possibly for a launch on October 15 with the new Pixel phones.
Like the upcoming Google Home Mini and probably its future home products, Google is moving away from the Google Home brand to move to Nest. Google's next-generation WiFi router will apparently call Nest WiFi.
According to 9to5Google, the new generation router will include important changes in its operation. Google will offer the "main" router as well as smaller tags that work with the main router, much like the operation of Amazon's Eero mesh routers. And Google Assistant support will be integrated with these new, smaller tags. In addition to the usual features of the wizard, WiFi WiFi tags will incorporate some WiFi-specific features, such as the ability to suspend the Internet connection in certain rooms or specific devices with your voice. The main router part of the new WiFi WiFi system will however not include the Assistant support.
Google is also proposing a new design with WiFi WiFi that will allow routers to integrate into your home much better than before. Google also plans to offer three different colors to help you choose the one that best fits the mood of your room.
And if you already have Google's WiFi system, you can apparently use the new Nest WiFi line products with your existing routers, which seems like a very good deal.
