Google’s unlocked Pixel 4A 5G coming soon in white

Until now, Google’s unlocked Pixel 4A 5G was only available in black for those who wanted the phone unlocked. A white option was exclusive to Verizon’s more expensive version of the device – more expensive because it includes millimeter wave 5G. But soon, Google will release a white model of the standard unlocked Pixel 4A 5G at $ 499 for people who don’t want to pay the mmWave tax.

Earlier today, I was browsing B&H Photo when I noticed a listing for this one, clearly labeled as “new version.” Since there are photos of the phone, this doesn’t appear to be a mistake – and Google has since confirmed The edge that the unlocked white Pixel 4A 5G will start shipping on January 28. Aesthetically, it is identical to the Verizon version with a mint green power button. But you still only get 5G sub-6s – no surprise considering that’s the normal price.

There were decent discounts and sales on the Pixel 4A 5G over the holidays, so some of you might be disappointed to make a purchase before it became available. But at least you saved some money.

If you keep the score, with the release of this version it means that the 2020 Pixel range will now be available in these color choices:
