Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) announced Thursday another Trump candidate, announcing that he would oppose the appointment of Thomas Farr as a federal judge in North Carolina. Scott, who is African-American, has criticized Farr's record on race issues. Farr worked as a lawyer for Jesse Helms and was accused of having crackdown on voters in North Carolina. Scott joined Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ) and all Democrats to oppose Farr, whose nomination was scheduled for a final vote next week. Earlier this year, Scott criticized another Trump candidate, Ryan Bounds, for race-insensitive writings.
