Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward sprained his ankle during a training session on Tuesday, said coach Brad Stevens.
Stevens, speaking Wednesday in The Sports Hub, said the injury "was not a thing in the long run".
Stevens said the injury involved Hayward's right ankle, not the left ankle, which had been surgically repaired in October 2017 after a devastating injury in Hayward's first game with the Celtics.
"We expect that it will be back in a short time," said Stevens.
Stevens said Hayward was injured head-to-head against teammate Semi Ojeleye while they were training for the All-Stars break at center Auerbach.
"I hope it's available, but I do not know for sure," Stevens said.
