A month after using Gorilla Glue to replace her hairspray, Tessica Brown seeks medical treatment at the hospital.

On Saturday (February 6), TikToker admitted to the emergency room at St. Bernard Parish Hospital in Chalmette, Louisiana. In a pair of Instagram posts, Brown documents her trip to the hospital to see how she can safely remove Gorilla Glue from her hair. After she left, Brown returned home to use the items she received from the hospital. She then turned to TikTok to give her fans a brief overview of her recovery process.

In the video, we can see Brown applying the product to her head, but she doesn’t exactly describe the treatment. Ahead of her hospital visit, Brown told her supporters in a video that she couldn’t wash off Gorilla Glue or even shave her head. Brown also said the glue made her hair grow tighter on her head, which caused her headaches.

Brown managed to grab the world’s attention on Thursday (February 4) when she uploaded a video to TikTok, in which she admits the sticky details of her situation. She started the video by telling her followers that she had parted her side locks into a long braid for over a month, and it wasn’t by choice.

“When I do my hair I like to finish it off with a little bit of Göt2b spray glued on, you know, just to keep it in place,” Brown says in the video. “Well I ran out of Göt2b Glued Spray so I used this: Gorilla Glue spray. Bad, bad, bad idea.

Shortly after its video went viral, the Gorilla Glue company spoke to TMZ about a possible way to remove the product without going to the hospital. A spokesperson for Gorilla Glue said his best bet was to use rubbing alcohol and comb it with shampoo. However, they also believe that the product could have damaged its roots. Nevertheless, they wish him the best.
