Gorilla Glue Tackles Tessica’s Brown Hair Crash

Gorilla Glue said she was “very sorry to hear” of the plight of Tessica Brown, who went viral after posting about how she accidentally used the company’s spray adhesive to secure her hairstyle.

In her original TikTok, which has been viewed nearly 20 million times, Brown says she used Gorilla Glue to finish off her ponytail after using up her usual hairspray. This decision tragically led to a month of efforts to repair the damage, with many supporters following his trip.

In a TikTok follow-up, Brown vigorously rubs shampoo through her hair to no avail. “This is the life I have to live,” she said almost in tears. And over the weekend, Brown told her followers she had gone to the hospital asking for help.

Meanwhile, family and friends have tried other treatments, like soaking Brown’s head, with seemingly minimal results. Here is a full timeline of events gathered by Darian Symoné Harvin on her Beauty IRL newsletter.

On Monday, Gorilla Glue released a statement acknowledging Brown’s predicament.

“We are very sorry to learn of the unfortunate incident Miss Brown experienced using our spray adhesive on her hair,” the company wrote on Twitter. “We are happy to see in her recent video that Miss Brown has received medical treatment from her local medical facility and we wish her the best.”

Brown did not immediately respond to BuzzFeed News’ request for comment. A GoFundMe campaign she launched on Sunday raised more than $ 10,000, far exceeding the goal of $ 1,500.

However, many people online are encouraging Gorilla Glue to do more for Brown in good faith.

“It’s by no means your fault, but I’m sure a little kindness can go a long way for her right now,” the user wrote. @TuniSharpe.
