Ronald Koeman hasn’t even been installed as Barcelona manager yet, but that’s not a problem for the rumor mill that kicked in before he arrived at Camp Nou.
According to le10Sport, Koeman is already thinking about which players he would like to take with him to Barcelona and is very fond of Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek.
The 23-year-old has previously been linked with Real Madrid and Manchester United but those rumors have faded recently.
Van de Beek recently opened up about his future in an interview with Fox Sports:
“It’s very complicated, at least a very complicated period in terms of transfers. Nothing is certain yet. I’m still an Ajax player and I’m still proud to be there.
“If it hadn’t been for the coronavirus, it might have been different now. There is no clarity now and we have to wait and see how it goes.
“I’m still here and after all these years I’m still having a lot of fun. If I also play Ajax next season, I still have a lot of fun. You won’t hear me complain.
Koeman obviously worked with Van de Beek with the Netherlands national team, while a move to Barca would see him bond again with Frenkie de Jong.
