The musician, who resides in Columbus, Indiana, surrendered to authorities around 3 p.m. Sunday, January 17, Chris Bavender, public affairs specialist for the FBI Local Indianapolis office said.

According to FBI, Schaffer was among the rioters who sprayed the United States Capitol police with a form of capsaicin pepper spray sold by many outdoor retailers, as part of their efforts to push officers back inside the Capitol and violate the Capitol building themselves.

Schaffer was photographed and captured on surveillance video wearing ‘bear spray’ and engaging in verbal altercations with Capitol police inside the Capitol building. Schaffer is seen holding what the FBI described as “transparent sunglasses” in one photograph and “bear spray in other photographs”.

These are the six charges Schaffer faces, according to the FBI:

Schaffer is considered one of at least 200 people under investigation FBI officials about their roles in the insurgency. In addition, the FBI Received approximately 140,000 digital media tips from the public.

While Schaffer has not yet said anything publicly about his involvement in the riot, his FROZEN EARTH the comrades of the group issued a statement on Instagram and Facebook opposing the insurgency.

“We absolutely do NOT condone or support the riots or acts of violence in which the rioters were involved on January 6 on the US Capitol,” they wrote. “We hope that everyone involved on this day will be brought to justice to be investigated and held accountable.”

Earlier this month, the German daily The world uploaded a video interview with which he Schaffer last November at a protest in Washington, DC Asset and protest the results of the 2020 presidential election. In the chat, the 52-year-old musician said that “a group of thugs and criminals hijacked this country a long time ago” and warned that “they are playing with the wrong people here. Because now we see you, and you ‘come down. Write down my words.’

Schaffer also apparently threw his support behind Asset, saying “he’s not your typical Republican” and saying that the 45th American President “is dealing with a criminal mafia that has been in the dark running the world, frankly, for a very long time. They want to destroy all our sovereignty and provoke world government, ”he added.“ We don’t have it… It won’t happen. There will be a lot of bloodshed, if it comes down to it – trust me. The American people won’t go for this bullshit – once they figure out what’s really going on. , this is where we are. No one wants that, but they push us to a point where we have no choice. ”
