Texas Governor Greg Abbott said his state welcomes all private sector companies leaving Democratic-controlled states.

“We don’t see any change in the approach of these other states,” Abbott said. “And on the contrary, the approach of the State of Texas is that we partner with all of these companies.

In an interview on Wednesday, the governor said his administration creates a good business environment in Texas, while Democratic-ruled areas are not business-friendly.

It came after “Hewlett-Packard” became the last company to move its headquarters from California to Texas. Abbott said the ruling tells you a lot about how to do business in this country.

“My goal is to call them, get in touch with them, and tell them how I can help them,” the Texas governor said. “As these other states seek to use these companies to operate them in a leach-type way where they bleed them of their tax revenue.”

Abbott added that he always speaks with business leaders to see how he can help them thrive, rather than imposing new regulations and restrictions on the private sector.
