Texas Governor Greg Abbott reissued his ban on Covid vaccination warrants by any government or local entity on Wednesday, just days after Pfizer’s shot was fully approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration .

The decree comes after the governor, who is recovering from his own Covid case, introduced the vaccine as the reason for his “brief and mild” infection.

Pfizer news on Monday raised questions about the validity of Abbott’s previous executive order banning vaccines under emergency use authorization, but the latest governor’s decree bans Covid vaccine warrants regardless approval status. Abbott’s ordinance allows exceptions for nursing homes and other long-term care facilities.
