Gran Turismo 7 appears in new PlayStation 5 promo video – GTPlanet

After a veritable flurry of GT7– related news earlier today – a potential beta and a preview of a possible official new wheel for the game – the title also appeared in a promotional video for PS5.

The new video is titled “Stunning Visuals” and focuses on the different technologies and graphics capabilities of the new console. This includes details like ray tracing, native 4K resolution, and 120 fps frame rates.

Of course, the next generation Gran Turismo 7 is a good showcase for these advances, and present alongside Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and Demon souls in the sequence.

Although the video mainly uses clips that we have already seen from Gran Turismo 7 promotional videos, there are still a few things to unbox.

First, the scenes used are mostly slightly longer, which means we’re seeing quite a bit more than before. This throws us a particularly interesting flashing moment and you’ll miss it on the onboard clip with the Porsche Carrera GT.

While the car is in motion, the temperature gauge in the instrument cluster drops from 16.4 ° C to 16.3 ° C, then rises to 16.4 ° C. This could indicate that the track temperature is something being actively measured and is playing a role in the physics engine of the game.

Notably, the video refers to Gran Turismo 7 as “In development for PlayStation”. It’s another clue that, as suggested by Hermen Hulst, director of PlayStation Studios earlier this year, GT7 is a cross-gen title and will be available on PlayStation 4 as well as PlayStation 5. Previous cross-gen games have carried this legend as well, while PS5 exclusives have been labeled as such – including Gran Turismo 7 during its first revelation.

If nothing else this is another glimpse of GT7 after a very sterile period of information after the game was postponed to 2022. This could suggest another push for promotion, so keep an eye on GTPlanet for any new details that arise.
