PS5 remasters of Grand Theft Auto III, grand Theft Auto Vice City, and grand Theft Auto San Andreas can finally be announced later today on the new PlayStation State of Play. While a new leak has GTA fans anticipating the reveal of GTA 5 on PS5, new teases on the GTA forums also anticipated the aforementioned announcement. For weeks, insiders and leakers on the popular forum site have been teasing the re-release of these three classics from the PS2 era. GTA games, and now some are teasing that today is finally the day they will be announced.

On the GTA Forums user “ClimaCool” recently and apparently teased that something was going to happen regarding these games on February 25th. The point is, this tease was shared prior to the PlayStation State of Play announcement, which lends some credibility to the belief that this was some sort of inside information.

That said, it’s possible she’s a tease about GTA 5 news rather than GTA Trilogy news, and of course, it could also be nothing more than a happy coincidence.

Fortunately, we don’t have to wait very long to find out what exactly is going on here. At the time of publication, the PlayStation State of Play is about a three hour drive away.

At this time, no party involved – Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, or Sony – has commented on the above information. If that changes, we’ll be sure to update the story, but don’t expect it. Not only do the three maintain a fairly strict “no comment” policy regarding rumors and all unofficial and speculative information, but there’s no point in commenting on a rumor on a show within three hours.
