One of the managers behind the NoPixel Grand Theft Auto RP server shares how much it costs to run the hugely successful platform.
The popularity of Grand Theft Auto role play cannot be underestimated. Not only is it one of the most regularly watched online experiences on Twitch and other streaming platforms, but it is a significant part of Grand Theft Auto 5the player base of. At the heart of the GTA RP community is a key server, the NoPixel Server, which hosts many of Twitch’s top streamers. Now, one of the server’s owners has revealed what it costs to run NoPixel amid such popularity.
In response to some angry online questions, NoPixel Arachnea admin shared an unknown detail on the GTA RP server. Accused of being “greedy” on NoPixel application fees, Arachnea revealed that the NoPixel server costs nearly $ 10,000 per month in hosting fees. Additionally, there are additional tech costs, as well as what NoPixel pays its developers to improve and maintain NoPixel year round.
Suffice to say that the costs of the NoPixel server are significant. At around $ 10,000 per month, in just one year, the server can generate costs totaling nearly $ 120,000. Since the NoPixel server is managed by a very small team, with Koil and Arachnea handling the key management work, it is much more understandable that a consistent revenue stream is important. Without such support, the server would likely collapse very quickly.

One of the key aspects of the NoPixel GTA RP server is that it is exclusive. The server allows a limited number of players, so NoPixel operates on an invite-only system. However, because Grand Theft Auto 5The terms of service do not allow server executors to charge for subscriptions, instead NoPixel charges for priority applications.
