Man City heading towards $ 140million Grealish transfer

Manchester City might not have both Grealish and Harry Kane this summer, but the reigning Premier League champions look set to clinch the former as soon as possible. Significant progress has been made on a $ 140 million deal for the 25-year-old playmaker, according to a report by Fabrizio Romano.

Aston Villa have been one of the few aggressive clubs so far in the summer transfer window, further fueling speculation that Grealish will end up leaving the little one this summer. According to the report, the deal is now based on working out a few final details, after which Grealish is expected to be a Manchester City player.

Chelsea to sign Lukaku again

UPDATE: Our Sky Sports partners report that Lukaku has asked Inter Milan to accept a suitable offer from Chelsea.

Chelsea have spent the last few days testing the waters surrounding Romelu Lukaku in a bid to bring the great Belgian striker back to Stamford Bridge seven years after his rather unceremonious departure. Now 28 and a well-established world-class forward, Lukaku appears to cost Chelsea $ 120 million (or more) after selling him to Everton for just $ 38 million in 2014.

The reigning European champions would prefer to pay more than $ 110 or $ 120million for Lukaku, but Inter Milan are said to hold for $ 140million. Chelsea are probably negotiating from a position of power, as the reigning champions of Italy would need to sell another top player this summer to balance the club’s fragile finances and there are few (if any) other clubs capable of pay almost nine digits for a single player.

Arsenal want Maddison, but Leicester want $ 84million

With Odegaard unlikely to return after his six-month loan expiry, Arsenal have focused on a creative and attacking central midfielder to bolster the Premier League’s 9th best attacking (55 goals) a season ago . Maddison may be the Gunner’s main target, but one key issue exists: Leicester City valuate him at over $ 80 million.

Having already spent $ 70 on center-back Ben White and invested $ 20 million in 21-year-old midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga, Arsenal is unlikely to have that much to spend without making a sale first (or of them).
