Jay Pinkerton of Portal 2, Team Fortress 2 and Left 4 Dead return to Valve after leaving the company a year ago for unknown reasons
Pinkerton was the fourth creator of Valve who left the studio in two years, after Eric Wolpaw and Chet Faliszek and Marc Laidlaw in January 2016.
Pinkerton's name was found on the Valve staff page and news arrived at reddit speeds. It is also listed under "Other Experts" rather than "Writing."
