Six 2000-year-old statues were discovered on Saturday on the ruins of the ancient Greek city of Magnesia in southwestern Turkey and more precisely in the present provincial town of Germencik , according to Daily Sabah.
Professor Orhan Bingol, who has been supervising excavations in the area since 1984, has stated that four of six female statues a male, while the bad of the last monster is unknown

The first excavations in Magnesia took place between 1891 and 1893 by a German archaeological team led by Carl Humann. Excavations continued in the area after a 100-year period in 1984 by Bingol.
