More than 200 mbad graves with 12,000 people have been discovered in northern Iraq. The corpses belonged to women, children and the disabled.
According to the UN, 202 mbad graves have been discovered in northern Iraq, which constitute "a legacy of terrorism of the Islamic State". Barbarism and mbad killings could constitute genocide, with only Islamic State fighters being responsible.
The mbad graves discovered date from 2014 to 2017, while the Islamic State was under the control of some of the largest cities in Iraq.
The jihadists swept everything in their path. They killed, expelled and tortured a large number of people, including the Yezidi minority.
The UN estimates that more than 5,000 people were shot dead, while another 5,000 were considered "bad slaves".
The mbad graves discovered in the Iraqi province of Salahuddin contain the remains of 1,700 soldiers of the Iraqi security forces.
Even a number of casualties have been found on the Tiger River.
ISIS fighters placed their victims, even in wells. The researchers said that south of Mosul, a city under the control of the Islamic State, there could be thousands of people.
The UN said the Iraqi authorities had exonerated 1,258 victims from 28 mbad graves.
