The largest Orthodox cathedral temple in the world – Newsbeast

Sunday, November 25 Bucharest the inauguration of the largest cathedral temple in the world, presence of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, but also a multitude of clergy and the world.

The temple of the salvation of the people, dedicated to the ascension of Christ and the Apostle Andrew, Romanian capital since its construction from 2010.

The cathedral complex includes a cathedral building under the temple, a kitchen with a capacity of 1,000 people, two hotels and parking for about 500 cars. The cathedral is designed to accommodate about 6,000 faithful, ten times larger than the existing patriarchal cathedral.

The temple also has the largest bell in the world.

Once completed, it will still have a museum on Christianity, libraries, the residence of the patriarch and the media.
