Tayyip Erdogan sent a second warning message to Athens and Nicosia in one day, referring to developments in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Prior to the meeting of the National Security Council of Turkey, Erdogan referred to surveys in the Eastern Mediterranean. He stressed that the actions of Greece and Cyprus in the region "posed a threat and a danger" for Turkey and described in vain the movements of the two countries "in order to limit the Turkish influence in the region" .
The issue was also discussed at the National Security Council of the neighboring country. In his statement, he stressed that "no development will be allowed to the detriment of the interests and rights of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus." At the same time, the National Security Council warned that "unilateral actions in the region do not contribute to world peace" and called for "Turkey's determination under international law" to be taken into account.
