Tonight, he launched Thessaloniki Mayor Giannis Boutari's Christmas tree on Aristotelous Square, and the city officially kicked off festive rhythms.

"The holiday season officially begins, we wish for many years," said Boutaris, who was supervised by his administration during the lighting of the natural tree and gave the start of the music concert with the famous artist Giorgos Savanis .

The "present" on an Aristotelous square, "beaten" by people, was also offered by the Deputy Minister of the Interior, responsible for Macedonia-Thrace, Katerina Netopoulou, who, after having wished "Happy birthday "and" Happy Christmas "the future opens before us, is radiant for the city and its citizens".

In the central square, there are already four houses with creative activities where Santa Claus and the elves wait for the young and old to receive the letters with the festive greetings.

The "festivals" were also decorated with the streets of Thessaloniki, with the path of Agia Sophia to "magnetize" the eyes of residents and visitors, thanks to the blue sky and the Peftasteri who returned to the street Filiki Kairia .

According to the artistic program of the municipality, one will find on the place Aristotelous music groups of the city on Christmas Eve, while the complex "Blue" and Myronas Stratis will be on the eve of the new year. The advent of 2019 will be marked by a pyrotechnic show designed to "charm" and sponsored by the Greek National Library.
