The American actress Alan Alda, known as Hokkai Pears military doctor in the MASH series, revealed today that he was suffering from Parkinson's disease.
The 82-year-old New Yorker said he learned three and a half years ago that he was suffering from this degenerative disorder of the central nervous system.
"I decided to reveal that I was suffering from Parkinson's disease to encourage others to act," he wrote on his Twitter account, in a message accompanied by a video that seems to be juggling.
"I live life to the fullest, playing in movies, attending conferences, doing my podcast," he added. "I do boxing clbades three times a week and I play tennis twice a week and I take a little pill, all the doctor recommends," she said.
"And I'm not going to suffer from dementia, at least not faster than before (…) I'm really good," he explained.
