At least 200 dead in three-day battle with jihadists

At least 200 people, mostly fighters, represent the number of people who died during the three-day fighting that erupted as a result of the attack of a group of Islamic State jihadists in Eastern Syria, said Syrian Human Rights Watch on Monday.

The Observatory reported the deaths of 92 members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), 61 jihadists and 51 civilians, including 19 children, during three-day conflicts.

The losses of FDS fighting against jihadists are the largest ever recorded in the Islamic State in a single fight, says the Observatory.

The attack that erupted on Friday and lasted until Sunday in Deir Ezzor province was sparked by 500 jihadists who took advantage of the bad weather to attack the positions of the Syrian Democratic Forces in many villages of the province of Dar esor close to the Iraqi border. .
