Turkey has sent to Moscow a list of the names of the Crimean Tatar prisoners, demanding their release.
That's what Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a press conference he gave after his talks with Ukrainian President Petros Poroshenko in Constantinople.
"Earlier, we had been informed of the imprisonment of our two brothers, the Crimean Tatars, and we sent this information to the Russian camp." Erdogan.
The Turkish President stressed that Ankara had no intention of recognizing the annexation of Crimea and had declared that the crisis in eastern Ukraine was due to be resolved within the framework of international law and through negotiations.
In October 2017, Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked two leaders of a Tatar organization in Crimea, which Moscow describes as "extremist".
