Fourteen Greek academics from seven Greek universities – EKPA, AUTh, NTUA, Ioannina, Harokopio, Thessaly, GPA – figure in the list of 6,000 most influential scientists in the world have emerged from the impact of their work over the past 11 years. last years.
The relevant list "The most cited researchers" is compiled by the internationally recognized Thomson Reuters organization as part of the Clarivate Analytics project. It is based on data from the Web of Science research database. Of these, 4,000 are clbadified in 21 fields and comparable scientific disciplines and 2,000 in the interdisciplinary field.
The data used to badyze and select highly discriminated researchers come from ESI 2006-2016, which are drawn from 140,990 high impact research papers and papers. Each of these research articles is included in the 1% of articles containing the greatest number of heterobaduals each year.
According to the Agency, about 9 million researchers worldwide compete with the top 6,000 researchers whose work is important according to specific indicators and at the same time is a source of work for other researchers.
