The letter, sold by Moments in Time, is dated September 26, 1966 and addressed to MS SS Blakney [19659002] The human rights activist wrote at the time that "inequities in the current recruitment system are unequal for blacks in military service in Vietnam. We believe that it is too unfair to ask a man to fight in such a war to return home and face deeds and de facto slavery in his own country.

According to Moments in Time spokesman, Page Six, it is the only letter to which Martin Luther King refers to the war and is available for sale.
