The public consultation was launched by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, with technical specifications for the provision of urban buses.
The technical specifications concern 12 m electric buses, 12 m compressed natural gas and 18 m Euro VI diesel.
The consultation will take place until December 17, 2018, so that after the evaluation of the tenders submitted, the auction of the urban bus transport project for the agglomerations of Attica and of Thessaloniki continues.
At the same time, project funding procedures with community and national resources are ongoing.
The modernization of the fleet with modern, low-emission buses aims to provide Attica and Thessaloniki with a better level of service for pbadengers, with an improved environmental footprint, as part of the transition to a low-carbon economy.
