A strong explosion rocked downtown Jalalabad, in eastern Afghanistan, of which at least seven people were killed. It was noted a few hours after President Ashgrif Gani visited the city and caused disasters in shops and buildings around Mouhabarat Square, spokesman Ataulah Koyani said.
According to the Athens-Macedonian news agency the report of the victims is likely to increase because most of the city was blocked due to the visit of the president, who was not not in the area at the time of the explosion
No organization immediately took over responsibility for the explosion, which is the latest in a series of attacks in Jalalabad, the capital of Nagahar province, where fighters of the Islamic State are strongly present in recent years
