Facebook CEO and founder, Mark Zakkerberg, was at the heart of a new fight Thursday after announcing that the social networking site would not suppress messages from Holocaust deniers.
In an interview that he granted Wednesday on Recode, Zachsenberg said that Facebook would suppress some "false news" that is likely to lead to violent acts, claiming that he did not the intention to ban the positions taken according to him, "honestly".
"I am a Jew and there are people who deny the existence of the Holocaust. I find that very shocking. But in the end, I do not think our platform should erase such views because I believe that there are people who fall.
Faced with criticism, Mark Zackerberg sent an email to Recode
"Of course, if a message violates the red line of incitement to violence or hatred against a particular group, it will removed, "he writes.
For several weeks, Facebook has been criticized for republishing articles, photographs or videos that, without being directly hateful, could be perceived as encouraging violent action
The popular social network site has been accused of rumors which caused conflict, especially in Myanmar or Sri Lanka
