New Democracy issued a statement regarding the issue of the expulsion of Russian diplomats from our country. Among other things, the main opposition party notes that it is unacceptable that citizens and parties have information on this issue only through the media.
In detail, the announcement of Nea Demokratia states:
"For New Democracy, it goes without saying that any attempt at external intervention in the country's internal affairs must be dealt with directly, rigorously and decisively.
This obviously applies to the case of Russian diplomats, since sufficient evidence has been obtained to demonstrate their involvement in illegal activities on Greek territory.
It is unacceptable, however, for a matter so serious that the government is suffering from leaks and the only information that citizens and political parties can draw from media information and unspecified sources.
ND asked the government to inform the House. Especially when some of the people involved in the case had previously privileged relations with members of the SYRIZA-ANEL government.
In any case, it is at least comical to attempt by government officials to link the illegal activities of Russian diplomats to universal disapproval of the agreement signed by Tsipras and Zaev.
