Back to the roots of the first Hypermotard 1100, Ducati now offers this completely renovated generation of liquid cooled Hypermotard. The exhaust has returned to the queue and now has two ends, although they are not as close to each other as the first air-cooled models.
But the most important thing is not the obvious appearance, but the fact that the basic version also has a fully adjustable fork.. This is a brand new fork 45mm Marzocchi, which, in addition to the settings, is lighter than half a pound from the KYB of the previous model.
The engine still has 937 cc, but it now has 1.5 kilo less and a power of 114 hp. The very important change is the replacement of the problematic mechanical clutch by a new hydraulic. We hope that this change will solve the problem that this big problem has in all the other characteristics of the engine and that we will see this change in the Multistrada 950 and Supersport.
The theoretical compression of the engine went from 12.6: 1 to 13.3: 1, indicating a new wedging (more fierce …) of the camshaft. The frame and the removable subframe are just as new and lighter. The second was cast again from a mold of the previous model. In addition to the standard version, Ducati will offer the most expensive SP, with a different saddle on the Ohlins. The ergonomics of both models will therefore be different, the basic version giving more importance to pbadenger comfort, while SP offers more freedom of movement in the body when driving.
In electronics, we naturally have a daring grace of technological upgrading on the screen TFT and the central unit IMU D6 which brings with it all the helpers that until now had only the superbike of Italian society, such as the control of the wheelchair.
