A father in Canada lost his life on July 3 after a polar bear attack. The incident occurred in a northern province where the 31 year old man had gone fishing with his two daughters.

Aaron Gibbons told his daughters to run while he was walking between them and the bear. The children were found safe and harmless but unfortunately their father died of the attack.

"He loved the day with his kids," his uncle told the Canadian media. "They were astonished when they saw the bear approaching threateningly."

According to police, the young father while he was carrying a hunting weapon was not armed at the time of the attack. One of her daughters was calling for help to use the wireless boat.

The last death of a polar bear in the same province dates back to 2000.
