Maintenance and rehabilitation work on the floodplain on the Evinos River, the Aïtoloakarnanie Regional Unit, begins immediately as the Regional Director for Western Greece, Apostolos Katsifaras, has signed a contract for a total budget of € 471,044.84, financed by the public investment program.
"We are focusing on flood protection projects, in good condition, in order to protect as much as possible the areas that need them most," Regional Commissioner Apostolos Katsifaras said in a statement after the contract signature.
In particular, under this sub-project, maintenance and rehabilitation works will be carried out involving:
• Maintenance and rehabilitation of existing flood protection projects in positions 1 to 5 and protection of coasts in Box 6.
• Clutch removal in existing technical conditions.
• Removal of litter, traps or vegetation along the bed at the above locations.
