Two days of extensive seabed purification took place in Syros on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th November as part of the environmental action implemented by the Aegean Rebreath group in cooperation with the Syros Navy Club. This activity has been conducted to date in various Greek regions.
Participants collect, sort, sort and record waste, which will allow important conclusions to be drawn about the load and sources of pollution in the region. The first stage was the Karnagio region in Ermoupolis, from which a large number of wastes were collected, which represents an important site of pollution of the marine environment.
19 divers and the Greek diving center took part in the cleaning. Participate in the difficult and pioneering voluntary efforts of Aegean and N.O. Syros breathing is the municipal port authority of Syros, the cleaning service of the Municipality of Syros of Ermoupolis and the Port Authority of Syros.
On the occasion of the aforementioned action, Syro is a television team for the German channel ZDF. Filming will focus on the removal of abandoned nets and images of tourist sites in Syros.
