US pastor Andrew Branson was imprisoned, indicted in Turkey as a terrorist accuser, hours after the court decided to move from prison to house arrest.
When he left Smyrna's jails, Branson was accompanied by police officers, as can be seen in DAH's online television broadcasts.
For its part, the US government welcomed the Turkish court's decision to impose a restraint on the American pastor, who was jailed in October 2016, required that he be detained in a car and departed with a vehicle. However, the Turkish authorities are not left alone.
"We welcome the announcement that we have been waiting for so long for the transfer of Pastor Branson from prison to a homeless shelter center in Turkey, but that is not enough," he said. US Secretary of State Mike Pombeo.
"We have not seen any credible evidence against Branson and urge the Turkish authorities to resolve this case immediately in a transparent and fair manner," said the head of the US diplomacy.
