The document by which the president of the Community of Sick has drawn attention to the problem bridge
The inhabitants of the wider region of Malades are appalled by the tragic accident in Malades, Heraklion, and especially on the narrow bridge, which is the central peripheral road of the region and connects the sick, the prophet Elias, Agios Silas and the whole of the Temenos.
Residents of the area, referring to the death of 35-year-old Markos Kavalos, stress the danger of the bridge.
As it is said, this bridge is neither labeled nor labeled, has no light, no guardrails or rungs, and is a trap for drivers and visibility for them is limited.
The tragic irony is that Mrs. Maria Kypraki, president of the region, sent a letter to the relevant departments – among them – to the region of Crete last May, highlighting the danger of the region and anticipating accidents.
Immediately after the revelation of the tragedy, residents of the area demonstrated on the spot and closed the road. It has not been possible in the coming days to prepare new mobilizations.
Indeed, as regretted Maria Kypraki, president of Agios Silas, the narrow pbadage is filled with reeds, although it is supposed to have already cleaned up a contractor.
