Disney broke its own record with the release of the Lion King trailer.
According to Variety, in the first 24 hours of the release, the trailer was viewed 224.6 million times worldwide, the highest number of views of any other Disney movie in 24 hours, while It ranks just behind that of "Avengers: Infinity War". and the 238 million views earned for the same period.

The cast is composed of Donald Glover in Simba, Beyoncé in Nala, John Oliver in Zazu, James Earl Jones in Mufasa, Seth Rogen in Pumbaa and Billy Eichner in Timon, Chiwetel Ejiofor in Scar, Alfre Woodard in Sarabi, the mother of Simba, John Kani as Rafiki, Florence Kasumba as Shenzi, Eric Andre as Azizi and Keegan-Michael Key as Kamari (the three hyenas). JD McCrary and Shahadi Wright Joseph will give voice to little Simba and little Nala, respectively.
"The Lion King" will be published on July 19, 2019.
