Windows 10 October 2018 Update comes Tuesday?

Microsoft seems to be preparing for a new attempt to sell the Windows 10 October 2018 update. Preparations are underway for November 13 (Tuesday). This will be the second and hopefully the last effort to upgrade the 1809 upgrade system.

So, as of November 13, the file "MediaCreationTool1809Oct.exe" will be replaced by a newer file, but it is still in version 17763.1, which means that it is connected to the Windows update problem October 10, 2018.

"Windows as a service" seemed to be a very good idea in 2015, when Microsoft marketed Windows 10. However, since last October, the company will probably have to review the operation of the model. The problems of the 1809 edition continued in November.

The last problem occurred on November 8th when Windows suddenly lost its activation status. Device owners have been notified by Microsoft that they no longer have a valid digital license and are using a "non-genuine copy of Windows".

The activation problems seem to have been solved, but Microsoft has not even asked for any apologies.

In the Windows era as a service, we should be used to such occasional problems. However, customers have the right to receive correct, timely, and correct updates when problems arise that Microsoft does not seem to be happy to do, and often they do not do it at all.

The company says that all the issues in the 1809 release have been fixed with cumulative updates released October 16 and 20. This is obviously not fair. Customers expected to run an official (and stable) version of Windows should not be registered as beta testers for the installation of critical patches.
