Xiaomi Mi A1 updates were not the best. Updating to Oreo at Christmas came with several problems and yesterday comes the upgrade to Android 8.1, although the mobile belongs to the Android One program. The upgrade came with several enhancements such as the refresh of the user interface, a new menu, a battery indicator on connected Bluetooth devices, a translucent quick setup box, a renewed Settings menu, improved sound quality and finally the June security update. Unfortunately, there was no support for Project Treble that we long awaited all owners but two unpleasant bugs

The first erases all SMS and their history. The second opens SafetyNet, a service that allows us to control if the mobile has viruses, malware or a malicious ROM – a very useful service when the mobile phone comes from unknown stores in China.
