Greg Joswiak of Apple says that Touch ID will continue to play a role

Vice President of Apple Product Marketing, Greg Joswiak recently spoke with the United Kingdom Daily Express on the future of its biometric authentication systems, noting that, even if Face ID will be extended to a larger number of devices, Touch ID "will continue to play a role" in the near future.

"Certainly, we will continue to put it on more devices, but also Touch ID will continue to have a role to play – it's a great technology on our iPad lineup and we will not see it go away anytime soon, "said Joswiak.
