ABC’s long-running medical drama Grey’s Anatomy reunited Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek (Patrick Dempsey) for two weeks in a row. While the reunion was epic, Kate Walsh, who played Derek’s ex-wife Addison Montgomery, had an iconic reaction.

However, viewers were unaware that Derek was married. During the Season 1 finale, fans met Addison Shepherd with her unforgettable line.
“And you must be the woman who fucked my husband,” she said to Meredith.
During Season 2, McDreamy and Addison tried to make things work. However, in the end, he returned to Meredith. The two realized they were late in the game throughout the rest of Dempsey’s run in the series. Addison went to the spin-off Private practice and found his love, Jake (Benjamin Bratt).
Gray’s Anatomy alum Kate Walsh shares feelings about Derek’s return
When Meredith and Derek got together Grey’s Anatomy, even Kate Walsh had something to say about it. In the Season 17 premiere, Meredith spoke to her late husband on a beach while she was unconscious. After the show aired, Pompeo and Dempsey shared numerous photos on social media from the reunion.
“Gal, you already know how Addie would have reacted to that,” Walsh tweeted with pictures of Derek and Meredith. “Sending so much love from abroad to @EllenPompeo and @PatrickDempsey at their groundbreaking meeting on the Internet.”
Walsh added a photo of Addison Montgomery giving the couple a sideways look with her reunion image. Although she finished Private practice married to Jake, the actor suggests that Addie still wouldn’t be happy to see her ex-husband with Meredith.
Fans disagree with Walsh’s comment on Addison
Grey’s Anatomy fans believe Addison is in love with her husband, Jake, so that she doesn’t send dirty looks at her ex.
“No, Addison would be happy for them, lol,” one fan wrote on Reddit. “She’s happy with Jake.”

Other fans agree that Addie would be happy to see the couple reunite. They are also begging her to make an appearance on the show this season.
“She was one of my least favorites at the start and has become one of my favorites,” added another fan.
Although Walsh is overseas, viewers point out that they could see her make an appearance via video chat.
