Baby X AE A-XII just got their first haircut.
The mom of the oddly named infant, pop star Grimes, gave it a haircut at home and shared the results on her Instagram Stories Thursday.
“I’m not sure this haircut went well, but he’s Viking now,” the “Delete Forever” singer captioned a photo of her 8-month-old baby boy, which she shares with partner Elon. Musk, sporting a new Mohawk style tub.
The musician, 32, also shared a photo of herself cutting her son’s locks with scissors, possibly taken by Musk, 49. She said the cup was inspired by the historic British television series “The Last Kingdom”.
“Last Kingdom inspired haircut on Netflix that’s a masterpiece,” she wrote.
Grimes and Musk welcomed their first child in May 2020. The powerful couple initially named the newborn “X Æ A-12 Musk”, but were forced to change it to “X AE A-XII” because special characters and numbers are prohibited by California law.
Grimes previously tweeted that the X is the “unknown variable” in algebra, while the Æ (now AE) refers to “the Elvish spelling of Ai (love and / or artificial intelligence)”. The A-12 (now A-XII) at the end was inspired by the Lockheed Archangel-12 aircraft.
As to how it is pronounced? “I mean, it’s just X, the letter X,” Musk told podcast host Joe Rogan. “And then the Æ is, like, pronounced ‘Ash’ … and then, A-12, A-12 is my contribution.
“My partner is the one who, in fact, mostly coined the name,” added the CEO of Tesla. “Yeah, she’s great for names.
