Elon Musk’s ex-girlfriend Claire Elise Boucher, better known by her professional name of Grimes, was spotted walking the streets of Los Angeles reading a copy of Karl Marx’s Communist Manifesto.
Grimes was spotted reading the famous anti-capitalist book on Friday despite a recent outing with Musk, whose net worth of $ 200 billion makes him currently the richest person on the planet.
Grimes’ spotting marks his first public appearance since his split from Musk. The video showed the Canadian musician walking the streets of Los Angeles browsing Marx’s most famous work less than a week after she and the founder and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX ended their relationship.
Grimes and Musk have both voiced support for socialism in the past, with Musk once describing herself as a “socialist” while Grimes made waves in June when she said on TikTok that artificial intelligence was the “fastest way to communism”.

Grimes and Musk broke up after a three-year relationship, with Musk saying the two are still on “excellent” terms while seeing each other “frequently.”
The two share a son, named X Æ A-Xii Musk, born in May 2020.
