Earlier in the interview, Grisham said it was felt it was “a mistake” to take a job in the Trump White House.
“He will likely have some pretty draconian policies,” Grisham said. “There were often conversations where people were like, ‘This will be the second term, this will be the second term,’ which means we won’t have to worry about, you know, re-election.”
Last week Trump criticized Grisham and dismissed the accusations in his book.
“She got very angry and bitter after she broke up and over time we rarely relied on her, or even thought about it,” he said of his former press secretary. “She had big problems and we thought she should solve them.
