Gronk says he never watches a movie, asks Tom Brady about it

Rob Gronkowski was physically done in a lab, and his personality by Hollywood screenwriters.

Gronkowski told a story on “ManningCast” during Monday night’s Green Bay Packers-Detroit Lions game that sums up Gronk, the character, perfectly.

Eli Manning asked Gronkowski, who was a special guest on the alternative show, what he looks for when he watches a movie. He was expecting an answer on what covers an opponent will present and what kind of lanes Gronkowski can take to beat them.

Take it away, Gronk.

“First of all, my teammate Cam Brate asked me the other day, ‘Rob, I have a serious question: are you watching a movie yet? “Gronkowski said.” And I said, “No I don’t. I just run by guys, if I feel good I feel good. So I don’t watch a movie. I watch a movie when the crew shows it. ”

“Keep it simple,” Eli said.

Gronkowski added that he would watch games on television “from time to time”. Any football player or coach knows this is nothing like the movies players watch in the week leading up to a game, when they can see the whole pitch and study the covers they will face.

If you thought Gronk was joking – it was certainly funny, and you never really know with Gronkowski – he added that he pretty much asked Tom Brady to do his homework for him before the test.

“I’m going to see Tom, because I know Tom looks like I don’t know, 40 hours of film a week, and I’m like ‘Tom, who’s covering me, and what kind of blankets are they doing?'” said Gronkowski.

At that point, Gronk’s story was cut short because his dog was barking. He then brought the dog in front of the camera to show Peyton and Eli Manning. Sure.

It’s pretty mind-boggling that arguably the greatest tight end of all time to say he never watches a movie (unless it’s at a team reunion), asks Brady every week who does it. will keep, and always ends up passing the exam.

But it’s Gronk. He is still one of a kind.
