‘Groundbreaking’ COVID-19 Case Leads to Temporary Closure of Colorado Springs Bridge Center

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – After a person tested positive for the Delta variant of COVID-19 with a breakthrough case, the organization’s president announced the club will remain closed until August 2 out of caution .

A revolutionary case means that the person who has been infected has been fully vaccinated. The person who tests positive for the virus has mild symptoms. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 161 million people in the United States have been fully vaccinated as of July 19, 2021. As with other vaccines, vaccine breakthrough cases will occur, although the vaccines work as expected. Asymptomatic infections in those vaccinated will also occur.

The following public message was provided to 11 News by Phoebe Lostroh, a spokesperson appointed by the club.
