UPDATE 3/18: The servers of GTA Online and Red Dead Online are restored, as well as the Rockstar Social Club. Original story follows.

On March 18th, the servers of GTA Online and Red Dead Online were arrested for unknown reasons. Rockstar Games has acknowledged the crash on its official support page, with problems affecting games on all platforms. In addition, Rockstar confirmed that its social club services were also down.

At the time of writing, Rockstar has not disclosed how the servers of GTA Online and Red Dead Online were down. He also did not propose a deadline for fans to expect the services of both games to be restored. For now, fans of popular open world games will have to stick to their solo content if they want to play.

Of course, the experiences offered in GTA Online and Red Dead Online are very different from those that game fans can expect from solo gaming in the world. Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 basic games. In fact, they are often considered by Rockstar as completely separate entities, instead of being multiplayer components for their respective games.

We found that this was reflected in the way Rockstar supports the titles. Rockstar has largely ignored the solo portions of Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 post-launch, preferring to invest most of their time and resources in creating new content for the online multiplayer mode. It's safe to say that this is due to the extra income generated by Rockstar Online, which allowed Grand Theft Auto 5 become the most profitable entertainment product of all time.

Still, some fans hope that Rockstar Games will provide some sort of single-player DLC for Red Dead Redemption 2. Red Dead Redemption 2.

In the meantime, fans of GTA Online and Red Dead Online should expect Rockstar Games to continue to receive ongoing support, all the more so as they continue to generate significant revenue for the society. Of course, the game servers will have to work for Rockstar to earn money, and a fix for the current downtime of the servers should soon be available.

We will update this article as soon as the servers of GTA Online and Red Dead Online become operational again.
